Do not wax or pluck between sessions, since the laser needs the follicle intact, though you can and should shave as normal before each appointment.

If the area feels a little tender or looks slightly pink after a session, a cool compress and loose clothing help it settle quickly. Avoid harsh scrubs or exfoliants on the underarms for a few days, and let the treated hairs shed on their own over the following week or two rather than scrubbing them away.
