Injectables
Injectables are the foundation of modern, non-surgical aesthetics, and they are some of the most requested treatments at our medical spas. With a few precise placements of either a neuromodulator like Botox or a hyaluronic acid filler, we can soften lines, restore volume, define features, and refresh your whole face, all without surgery or downtime. The art is in knowing exactly which one to use, and where.
At Esthetica Medspa, every injectable treatment is performed by a licensed medical provider after a real consultation. We study how your face moves and ages, listen to what you actually want, and build a plan around it. Whether you are completely new to injectables or simply looking for a more careful, natural result than you have had before, we start with a conversation rather than a syringe.
BOTOX
Botox is our most requested injectable. A few units of a neuromodulator relax the muscles that crease the skin when you frown, squint, or raise your brows, so lines on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes soften and you look rested rather than tired. It also slims the jaw and eases teeth grinding through the masseter, and results last 3 to 4 months. Learn more on our Botox page.
Because it works on movement, Botox is also the go-to for preventative treatment, gently softening the muscles that will eventually etch lines before they set in. We dose it conservatively so you keep natural expression, and we will tell you exactly which areas it will genuinely help at your consultation.
Lip flip
A lip flip is one of the smallest injectable treatments we offer, and one of the most subtle. A few units of Botox along the upper lip relax the muscle so the lip rolls gently outward and shows a little more of itself when you smile. There is no filler and no added volume, just a soft, natural enhancement that lasts 2 to 3 months. See our lip flip page for the full details.
It is a favorite for anyone whose top lip thins or disappears when they smile, and for those curious about lip enhancement who are not ready for filler. Because it uses so little product, it is also one of the most affordable injectables to try.
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gel to restore volume and contour the face. We use them to lift flat cheeks, define a soft jawline, balance a recessed chin, and soften deep folds, with results that last 9 to 18 months and can be dissolved if ever needed. Explore the areas we treat on our dermal fillers page.
Every filler treatment is fully customized, from a barely-there refresh to a more noticeable contour, and built up gradually so the result stays balanced. Because the gel is hyaluronic acid, it integrates with your own tissue and can be adjusted over time.
Lip fillers
Lip fillers add natural, balanced volume to the lips with soft hyaluronic acid gel. Placed with restraint, they can restore lips that have thinned with age or gently enhance lips that have always been understated, with results that last 6 to 12 months and are fully reversible. Read more on our lip fillers page.
Whether you want subtle hydration or a fuller pout, the amount is entirely in your control, and we build it gradually across one or more visits if needed. Good lip filler is as much about restraint and technique as it is about product.
What to Expect With Injectables
Two Families, One Goal
Neuromodulators relax muscles to soften movement lines, while fillers add volume and structure. We use both, often together, to refresh your face naturally.
Quick, Comfortable Visits
Most injectable treatments take 15 to 45 minutes. We use topical numbing, and many fillers contain a local anesthetic, so you stay comfortable throughout.
Little to No Downtime
You can usually return to your day right away. Mild redness, swelling, or small bruises are temporary and settle quickly.
Provider-Led, Always
Every treatment is performed by a licensed medical provider using only FDA-approved products, after a full assessment of your goals and health history.
The Right Treatment, Placed Well
What injectables are
Injectables are treatments delivered through a fine needle to change how your face looks, without surgery. They fall into two broad families. Neuromodulators, such as Botox and Xeomin, relax specific muscles to soften the lines that form when you make an expression. Dermal fillers, made of hyaluronic acid, add volume and structure to restore, contour, and define.
Because the two work in completely different ways, the right choice depends entirely on what is bothering you. Movement lines on the forehead or between the brows call for a neuromodulator, while flat cheeks, a soft jaw, or thin lips call for filler. Many of the most natural results come from combining the two in small, considered amounts.
Part of what we do at your consultation is tell you honestly which treatment, or which combination, will actually get you the result you are describing.
The simplest way to choose is by the problem you want to solve. A neuromodulator like Botox softens the lines that appear when you move your face, so it is the answer for forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. A filler adds volume and structure, so it is the answer for flat cheeks, a weak jaw or chin, thin lips, and deep folds. Filler restores and reshapes; a neuromodulator relaxes and smooths.
Many patients are surprised to learn that the most natural results often use both. A little filler to rebuild support, plus a neuromodulator to soften movement, can refresh a face far more convincingly than overdoing either one. Because they work differently and last for different lengths of time, we plan them together at your consultation and tell you honestly what each one will and will not do.
Some of the most natural results we create use more than one injectable together. A common example pairs Botox to soften the lines between the brows with a little filler to restore lost volume in the cheeks, refreshing the whole upper and midface in a way that neither treatment could achieve alone. Another favorite combines a lip flip with a small amount of lip filler, using the flip to keep the upper lip visible and the filler to add gentle volume.
The key is balance and restraint. When treatments are combined thoughtfully, in small amounts, they support each other and the result reads as simply rested and refreshed rather than done. We plan any combination carefully at your consultation, often staging it across visits so we can review each step, and we will always tell you if a single treatment would serve you just as well.
The single most important factor in any injectable result is the person holding the syringe. At Esthetica Medspa, every treatment is performed by a licensed medical provider who understands facial anatomy and aesthetic mapping, not by a technician working from a template. We dose conservatively, especially on a first visit, because it is always easier to add a little than to undo too much.
We would rather give you an honest recommendation, even when it is the smaller or less expensive treatment, than sell you something you do not need. If a result needs refining, we plan it once everything has settled. That measured, provider-led approach is what keeps our patients looking like themselves, only more rested, and it is why so many come to us after a result they were not happy with elsewhere.
Your visit always starts with a consultation. We talk through what you want to change, study how your face moves and ages, review your medical history, and agree on a plan together before anything begins. Depending on the treatment, the appointment takes 15 to 45 minutes, and we use topical numbing to keep you comfortable. Many fillers also contain a local anesthetic.
Most patients return to their day right away. Mild redness, small bumps, or a little tenderness are normal and settle quickly. Neuromodulator results build gradually over a couple of weeks, while filler results are visible immediately and refine as any swelling settles. For first-time patients we like to see you back at about two weeks for a quick review.
